Payment and Shipping Policies

For the purposes of the policies, terms and conditions, "Regency Distributors" shall be taken to include "Regency Distributors", "Regency", "our", "us" and "we"; "Province" shall be taken to include "Canada", "Province" and "Territory"; "customer" shall be taken to include "you", "your" and "purchaser". All Regency Distributors policies, terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. If the policies, terms and conditions provided on our Web site do not answer your specific questions, or if you need more detailed information, please email us at webmaster@regency-distributors.ca.

Payment Methods

Payment must be received in full prior to shipment of goods or provision of service. Payments must include applicable taxes (GST/PST/HST on merchandise, GST/HST on shipping & handling) and shipping and handling charges.

If the payment received is short, Regency Distributors will advise the customer via email of the shortage and hold processing/shipment of the goods or service until the customer makes a payment to rectify the shortage. Regency Distributors is not responsible for any email that is not deliverable due to problems with the customers email account or email service provider and/or emails not acted upon by the customer. To alleviate this situation, Regency Distributors encourages customers to maintain communication with Regency Distributors via email and/or direct via phone when necessary. If we are unable to contact you within ten (10) business days of receipt of payment, we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of the lesser of $15.00 or 2% of the value of the goods or services selected by you for purchase, and return the balance to you without any further obligations owing.

Credit Cards

Payment by Credit Card can be made via PayPal for most major Credit Cards without the requirement to have a PayPal account. Alternatively, if you do not wish to make a Credit Card payment "on-line", Regency can also accept payments via Visa and MasterCard. Personal and Business Cheques

Regency Distributors will accept personal and business cheques drawn on a Canadian Bank for prepay orders. Allow for 10 business days from receipt by us of the cheque for clearing on top of delivery time of cheque to our business. You may also mail in certified cheques, money orders, and cashier's cheques for payment. Product is not set aside until order clears so stock on hand may change from the time the order is placed. For security reasons, prepay orders are taken over the phone only.

Sales Tax

All Canadians must add GST/PST/HST as applicable to the province in which they reside:

  • British Columbia residents must add 12% for GST/PST (5% for GST and 7% for PST);
  • New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Ontario residents must add 13% for HST;
  • Nova Scotia residents must add 15% for HST;
  • PEI residents must add 14% for HST;
  • Residents of all other provinces need only add 5% for GST.

In accordance with statutory regulations, Regency Distributors charges provincial sales tax on shipments to customers in the province of British Columbia and harmonized sales tax on shipments to customers in the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Ontario and PEI. If you are located in one of these provinces, but you believe your purchases are not subject to sales tax, please contact Regency Distributors for assistance.

We ship both from our central warehouse and directly from many of our distributors and manufacturers to insure the best availability.

Please review our shipping options and policies, and plan your purchases accordingly. Due to special package requirements we may not be able to ship products to certain areas or be constrained on our shipping options. Average delivery time within Canada is 5-7 business days. Delivery to some remote residential areas may take additional days.

Oversized or Overweight Shipments

Signature and Physical Address

Most orders require a signature upon delivery. Therefore, a physical address is needed. We do not ship to a post office box address or hotel/motel rooms under any circumstances.

Returns Policies and Procedures

Non-Returnable Items:

Some items are not returnable to Regency Distributors.

Due to manufacturers' policies and restrictions, the brands listed below are not returnable to Regency Distributors. Additional manufacturers can be added to this list, so please call us for the latest information. You will need to contact the manufacturer directly regarding return or replacement of these brands under their respective guarantees and/or warranties. Please contact us if you would like to obtain copies of the manufacturers' guarantees and warranties prior to purchase.

Items with a money back guarantee from the manufacturer.

Some items may come with a Money Back Guarantee from the manufacturer (an "MBG"). In those instances, Regency Distributors will not accept product returns. You will need to contact the manufacturer directly regarding return of the product and policies regarding such return. Please contact us if you like to obtain copies of manufacturers' guarantees and warrantees, including any MBG, prior to purchase.

Returnable items:

We offer a fifteen (15) day money back guarantee on most items from the original invoice date, provided that the product(s) are in the original box, in original condition and unopened. Before returning an item, buyers must first email Regency Distributors to receive RMA number. No returns of any type will be accepted without a RMA number. For faster service, please have the following information on hand when calling for an RMA number: customer name, order number, item number and serial number and the reason for the return.

Note, all sales of cameras are final - no returns to Regency will be accepted. Warranty claims must be handled with the manufacturer direct.

Returns, exchanges, replacements and refunds exclude shipping and handling charges; buyer pays shipping on all purchases and returns, exchanges, replacements and refunds. Original shipping charges are not refundable. Shipping charges on returned products are the responsibility of the customer. Regency Distributors will match the shipping method and pay for shipping charges on replacement or exchange products. We recommend that you choose a shipping company that is able to track your package and that you retain the provided tracking information until the refund is credited to your account. As the customer is responsible for any damage to an item or loss during shipment to Regency Distributors, we therefore strongly recommend you fully insure your return shipment in case of loss or damage. All late, non-defective, and/or incomplete returns are subject to 15-25% restocking fee. All late, non-defective and/or incomplete returns will be refunded with the lower of either the purchase price or current product price.

If your shipment arrives damaged.

You must note the damage on the carrier's delivery record in accordance with the carrier's policy, save the merchandise in the original box and packing it arrived in, and notify Regency Distributors immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and pick up of damaged merchandise. If you do not notify Regency Distributors of damaged goods within the first 15 days of arrival, the regular return policy will override any claim of damage, and your purchase(s) will fall under all current manufacturer restrictions. In the case of verified damaged shipments, Regency Distributors will credit or refund to you the costs of shipping.

Defective non-software products.

For returnable items, Regency Distributors offers a fifteen (15) day return policy for defective non-software products. All products returned must be 100% complete, in original and resalable condition, with all original packaging, manuals, registration card(s) and software.

Defective Software.

Defective software may be returned within fifteen (15) days of invoice date only for exchange of the same title.

Non-Defective Products.

For returnable items, non-defective returns may be accepted at Regency Distributors' discretion within fifteen (15) days from invoice date. All late, non-defective and/or incomplete returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. All late, non-defective and/or incomplete returns will be refunded the lower of either the purchase price or current product price. Opened software is not returnable. However, unopened software may be returned for refund or exchange within fifteen (15) days of invoice date. All licensing sales are final. However, many software vendors will allow exception returns within the first fifteen (15) days. In some cases a replacement order is required. For more details, contact Regency Distributors.

A minimum restock fee of 15-25% may be applied to products returned as defective that test to be operational upon return.

Non-returnable Brands/Products

Due to manufacturers' policies and restrictions, the following manufacturers products may not be returned to Regency Distributors for exchange, replacement or credit under any circumstance:

The manufacturer can repair defective merchandise or any authorized service center in your area or Regency Distributors at our discretion. Manufacturers may be added to this list as manufacturer policies change.
